On April 6th and 7th, researchers in the field of Visual Analytics from Boeing, Canada and Brazil will meet in Cambury, São Paulo State, for the second Brazilian Visual Analytics (BRAVA) workshop. This initiative, sponsored by The Boeing Company, Mitacs and GRAND and supported by Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), is an effort to promote international cooperation in Visual Analytics between the two countries and The Boeing Co.

Workshop Objectives

The main objective of the workshop is provide opportunity for participants from Canada, Brazil and Boeing to share experience and background that will help to establish a long term applied research agenda in Brazil.

• The Visual Analytics workshop is a long-term collaborative effort between researchers in Brazil, Canada and from Boeing 
• Using the proposed Canadian CANVAC research network as a template, Boeing plans to work closely with BRAVA as a similar network among universities and researchers in Brazil 
• This workshop will be the foundation and create the opportunity for a number of future projects among these partners
