"Silicon Valley Scene: Why and How It Works (When It Does, and Doesn't)"
The event will begin with a networking lunch buffet (12-1pm), followed by a presentation by John Mashey entitled "Silicon Valley Scene: Why and How It Works (When It Does, and Doesn't)"(1-2pm), and will conclude with a panel discussion and open forum with the audience that will examine our local scene and how it might become more conducive to the growth of digital media businesses (2-3pm).
Dr. Mashey has over 30 years in the computing industry as a technology leader with organizations including Bell Labs, Convergent Technologies, MIPS Computer Systems and as the Vice President and Chief Scientist at Silicon Graphics.
