Dr. C. Ian Kyer is counsel at the law firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP and practices information technology law. For many years, he served as the national chair of the firm's Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Ian is a very frequent speaker and panelist at conferences throughout the world relating to the IT, online gaming and outsourcing sectors. He is also a member of the editorial board of several computer law publications including the Oxford International Journal of Law and Information Technology.
An author and editor, Ian ranks as one of The Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada (see www.lexpert.ca). For several years he has been listed in the International Who's Who of Internet and E-commerce Lawyers.
Ian earned both a Masters and PhD in History from the Universities of Waterloo and Toronto, respectively, as well as an LLB from the University of Toronto. He is currently writing a book on Italian classical composer Antonio Salieri.
